We are two moms living in rural
Colorado.
It was serendipity that we met, each having
recently moved to the same small town from different cities across the
country from each other. On a fateful night in April we realized we
had much in common...not least of which is a passion for soapmaking! Ashley had a successful soap business while living in
the metro Atlanta area, while Tiffani had always enjoyed and
bought handcrafted and natural soap for herself and her family. We
decided there is no more perfect place to make soap than the highly
elevated and dry state of Colorado--where harsh winters and dry, cracked
skin go hand in hand.
We are committed to local resources.
Two city slickers like ourselves are tickled to
be living in such a rural environment. Our goal is to use locally grown products
in our soaps, in hopes of supporting and encouraging our local
community of farmers and craftsmen. We are also growing our own
organic herbs and flowers to use as colorants and fragrance additives to our soaps.
Community is important to us and a portion of our proceeds is donated to a
variety of local support organizations.
We are committed to the environment.
We grow many of
the herbs and flowers used in our soap in our gardens and make sure they
are organic and pesticide free. What we can't grow, we buy with the
guarantee that they are organic and/or wildharvested. We recycle all
packing materials for shipping our products and refuse to buy new packing
peanuts or bubbles. We pick our packaging carefully and with
the knowlege that it can be recycled and/or reused with refill packs (which
are in
development for our sugar scrubs).
We don't like chemicals and
preservatives.*
Not in our food and definately NOT in our
bath products. Genetic engineering and pesticide use is on the
rise. Commercial bath products are full of chemical preservatives
and byproducts. So, we're doing our part
to reduce this exposure by refusing to use any chemicals and preservatives
in our soaps and scrubs. Instead, we use oils that are full of
antioxidants which not only preserve our products but also preserve soft,
supple skin.
*Well, we must
admit we like whatever they put in Twinkies.
We are lucky! And so is our
soap!
From the moment we imagined the idea for
Serendipity Bath Co. we have been graced with incredible
blessings and luck to make the idea become our business. We put a
bit of this good fortune into the soap and bath products that we make, and hope that some
serendipity finds its way into your lives and the lives of those you love!
We think you'll agree....This soap
is Wildly Lucky!
